the window's traditional appearance with softened radius edges.
What's more, Foundation™ Series single hung windows
have interior and exterior accessory grooves. These allow
for the easy addition of accessories such as "J"
channel, traditional brickmould and mull covers, which will
finish your windows beautifully.

Combine single hungs with studio units for beautiful picture windows. Add transoms, radius or geometric windows above your single hungs for a dramatic look. The beauty of Foundation™ Series single hung windows
is more than skin deep. Being constructed of vinyl, they
are nearly worry-free. Frame and sash corners are fusion-welded
for enhanced structural integrity. These corners cannot
open up, meaning that they are sealed against air and
water infiltration. Sloped sills encourage water run-off
while also providing a traditional look not commonly found
in vinyl windows. Multi-chambered uPVC extrusions provide
superior weatherability, enhance the strength of these windows
and create a thermal break for insulating value while reducing
noise transmission from the outside.
A 1-¼ " prepunched nailing fin provides for easy installation and helps seal the window to the opening. a 1-¼ " setback makes it perfect for use with various exterior materials such as siding, stucco or brick. Along with dual weatherstripping, this full perimeter integral nailing fin helps serve as a wind and water shield for weathertight installations. Optional jamb extenders allow the windows to fit nearly any wall construction.
The trim sash design provides a large daylight opening for a beautiful, unobstructed view. What's more, Foundation™ Series single hung windows are outfitted with recessed tilt latches. This allows for tilting or complete removal of the operating sash - making cleaning your windows an easy task.
Several other features add to the beauty and convenience of Foundation™
Series single hung windows. The 7/8" insulating glass units
are an optimum thickness for exceptional thermal performance.
Half screens with fiberglass mesh attach easily on the exterior
of the windows. A positive screen attachment secures the screen
to the frame and allows for easy removal from the interior. The
lock rail is internally metal reinforced and the frame includes
a stainless steel constant force balance system to help provide
trouble-free sash operation. Finally, the sweep lock on the sash
matches the vinyl color and provides an elegant appearance.
Opt for beige or white windows. The color is actually part of
the vinyl, so it can't flake or peel off and there will never
be a need for refinishing. Enhance the view with either flat or
contoured grilles-in-the-airspace. Choose the standard 7/8"
insulating glass or ask for H°K glass - 7/8" LoE insulating
glass with argon fill* and warm-edge spacers. Many other glazing options are also available.
Foundation™ Series single hung windows are the perfect
